I Heart Macro - Campus Snow 2009

It is another wonderful I Heart Macro Sunday over at Studio Waterstone.  If you wish to participate or see what everyone else is taking macro shots of head on over.

I thought I would share some pics from 2009 when it snowed on campus.  This winter it has snowed I think three times and only once where it was pretty heavy, and of course I didn't have my camera.  I love seeing pictures of snow but I hate being out in it (I hate being cold!).  I thought these pics turned out pretty well and I thought I would share.

I took these photos outside the PAO (Visual and Performing Arts) building.  My favoritest place on campus!!!!!  This was when I was still going to classes, right across the street from where I work.  So, I took photos as I was walking back from class.

Now these next photos are of a horse sculpture.  For the life of me I can't remember her name who creates these beautiful pieces.  I know I have written about her on our EB Bead and Metal Works blog but I can't remember when.  What the artist does is take limbs and builds the sculpture and then casts it in bronze and then gives it a look of weathered wood.  How cools is that!!!!

I love how the snow is falling around the horse and then the close up of its mouth with water droplets on the wood.

Well, I hope you enjoyed the show.  I am off to finish sawing, filing, sanding and enameling.  I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday!

I Heart Macro Sunday - Ice and Leaves

It is another I Heart Macro at Studio Waterstone.  It snowed here a few days ago, but neither mom and I have been outside because it has been way too cold.  Plus I hate the cold, so that is another reason not to go outside.

These are shots from a few weeks ago when there was left over snow on the leaves and oriental grasses mom has outside her house.

Enjoy!

If you would like to participate or see what other people are sharing on I Heart Macro Sunday head on over to Studio Waterstone.

Dishes - I Heart Macro

It is another I Heart Macro Sunday at Studio Waterstone.  I thought I would use photos mom took a few weeks ago when she was cleaning the kitchen.  After mom cleaned the dishes, she uses them as decorations on top of the cabinets, she took photos of them.  Plus it is way too cold to be outside taking photos, I am a wimp and I admit it :-)

Enjoy!

Tones on Tuesday - Brick Wall

It is Tones on Tuesday today.  If you would like to participate or see what everyone else is doing, head on over here.

This is a crumbling wall on one of the buildings on campus.  I loved the textures of the different types of bricks in the wall.

This is the brick wall after I cropped it and played with two different effects on Picnik.

Have a great Tuesday!

Macro Monday - Flower

Mom and I are participating in Macro Monday for the first time.  What is cool about starting this blog is finding out all these different photo challenges we can do on each day of the week.  I am not sure how many I will be able to participate in because of work, but since I was off today (vacation) I thought I would try this one out.

So, here is our shot.  It is from a shoot we did on July 20th, 2009 at the hort park not far from where I work on Purdue.  This is another of my favorite shots.

Enjoy!

I Heart Macro - Ice and Leaves

Another I Heart Macro Sunday, one of my most favoritest days of the week.  If you would like to participate or see what everyone is taking macro shots of, head on over to Studio Waterstone and check it out.

These are shots from December 28th.  It had snowed and I got the camera out and walked around mom's yard to take photographs.  These photos are from her three large flower beads with dead flowers and plants in the ice.

You sure can find beauty in the darnedest places.  I hope you have a wonderful Sunday.  Mom and I are off to work in the studio, I have a lot pendants I need to enamel today and mom is still sawing out more.  Have a great one!
